I have a Kelty backpack that's about 5-years-old.  It's a hand-me-down and it has worked really well.  However, when this arrived I really wanted to test it with my 18-month-old.  This has a rain/sun guard that my old one doesn't have and I occasionally walk with my son in the rain.  First let me say that I love this backpack.  It's very comfortable and well designed.  I like the fact that you can adjust the pack according to the height of the wearer.  It also takes the pressure off your back quite nicely.  My son also enjoys the ride and really appreciated not getting wet!  The only downside is that my son likes to stand on the frame when I'm walking.  I've managed to keep him securely in the pack by tightening the shoulder straps which are nicely padded.  It's a really well designed pack and lightweight too.  If your children like the option of a backpack - this is certainly a very good way to go.  At just under $100.00 the price is right too!

MetroLite Air (by Graco, $159.99)

This lightweight aluminum stroller was tested by a mother-of-three.  She had an old stroller that had seen better days so she welcomed this for her 9-month-old.  She liked the extra large canopy and 5-point-harness.  She said it was a light smooth ride that both she and her child enjoyed.   She also really liked the large storage basket.  "With a diaper bag, sippy cups, snack containers, I'm always running out of space, this basket held everything," she reported.
