Tested at our local Montessori School this soft musical block is a huge
hit! Each side features a classic childhood song like "Pop Goes
The Weasel" and "Five Little Monkeys" and is accompanied by
surprise activities to explore. Our testers happen to love "Pop
Goes The Weasel" the best. It is played with over and over
again and is hands down a classroom favorite. It's also won the Oppenheim Platinum Award!

(VTech) The kids that
tested this rocket range in age from 18 months and up. The loved
sorting the shapes into the rocket, watching the lights and listening to
the countdown. It is a huge winner in the classroom. Although
the recommended age is 9 months and up the older kids could
appreciate the learning aspects of it more. Ages 9 months and up.

Train (Mega Bloks) – The
train with blocks itself is a great idea. Our teacher-tester reported that
the children had fun stacking the blocks as high as they could go on the
train and then move it around. Great for eye-hand coordination and color
recognition. Younger children don't get the letters, but it's nice
that they are there! Ages 1-5, $9.99
Lamaze: Sing and Spin Bugs
(Lamaze)
Our 8-month-old tester loves her Sing & Spin Bugs by Lamaze. Her mother said it is great for her eye-hand coordination. She put all three
little bugs on the platform and her daughter pulls them off one by one as
they spin and move around the circle; she never wants to let go of the
first two however so she ends up using them to knock the last bug off!
The pieces seem well constructed, initially our tester was concerned about the wings and antennae
on the bugs, but both she and her husband gave them their best tugs and they've hung tough.

BabyBaby
(BabyBaby.com) This great CD was given
to our new mom tester to play for her son, Kyle. Both she and her
son loved it. She reported that the CD was very relaxing and
although he's too young now to recognize his name in the song, she's sure
he'll love it as he gets older! BabyBaby was written by a father of
three boys who wanted a simple and meaningful song to sing at
bedtime. A thoughtful and unique gift for any baby! $19.95

however if you're like our tester you'll want to have about ten of them on

Silly
Sounds Stackers (Munchkin): This toy is ideal for babies aged
six months plus; young babies would find it difficult to play with by themselves. This toy is very colorful and makes great scrunchy sounds, however the sounds of the toy are loud and could frighten a sensitive or younger baby.

Company) I just love mobiles, but this one is extra special because it
has cute little dogs chasing tails! Our newborn tester seemed to
really enjoy gazing up at the dogs. His mother liked the fact that
it played a nice tune the "Children's Marching Song." She
also liked the fact that it didn't startle her son like some other mobiles

just loved playing this cd for her son. In particular he liked the
