Fridge Phonics Magnetic Letter Set (VTech) Our testers ages 3 and 5 just love this since it was stuck to their fridge.  They loved pressing the buttons to hear the sounds each letter makes and the fact that music note button plays the Alphabet Song! Their mom loves the fact that it's helping with letter recognition.  Our tester things this is a must-have for any toddler/preschool aged child. Ages 2+, $17.99

Hot Wheels Quick Start Laptop Everyone (2, 4 & 6) loved this, actually adults too.  It's compact and easy to store, no volume control, though.  Our two-year-old tester loved the piano function and had his Great Uncle singing along.  There are enough games that range in level of difficulty that the two older boys were entertained. This is a toy that they can grow into.  Big thumbs up. Ages 3 +, $39.99

Teaching Cash Register (Learning Resources) This cash register was tested by my daughter.  Since playtime always includes setting up shop and selling her toys, I had to let her test this.  It's a great toy for not only educational purposes, but pretend play.  The cash register teahes coin identification, addition and subtraction.  The coin reader identifies the included play pieces which feel real.  There is a checkout scanner with sound, a working scale and more! It's a toy that gets used daily in my house.  Ages 3 -12, $44.95.  Click here for a retailer near you.

Learning Resources Pretend & Play Doctor Set (Learning Resources)    Our tester really loves to "operate" on his animals so this set was a big hit.  He loved the stethoscope, pager, and fact that he had his own cell phone.  Our testers only complaint was that the case was a little flimsy.  Ages 3 and up, $24.95  Click here for a retailer near you.

Powertouch Learning System (Fisher-Price $49.99, Ages 3-8)  Our 3-year-old tester just loved!  First he could use his finger and secondly it came with a Sesame Street book.  His mother loved the fact it was easy to start up and her son could work independently.  They are both looking forward to getting more of the books!  Power Touch Books
