Gifts for the New Mom

Queen (BlueQ)  Moms are constantly washing their hands, but why must they always use liquid dishwashing detergent?  They should feel like a queen!  This soap is non-drying with a a really nice scent.  Our mom-tester also got to enjoy the Queen Bath Salts and Lotion.  "Yes I felt like royalty," she stated! Priced from $4.95 and up.

Barielle Nail Therapy (Barielle) Finding the time to get a manicure is sometimes difficult so Barielle has come up with this great kit for $29.99.  It includes: Nail Strengthening Remedy, Rebuilding Nail Repair, Natural Nail Nourishment, Nail Thickening Solution, and three 3 in 1 Color Care nail enamels!  Our tester loved the kit and has also shared the colors with her two daughters who insist on having their nails painted.  It's a big gift for a small price!

Herbal Remedy Rescue Kit (Aromafloria) This is a great kit for the new mother or old one!  Our tester a mother two a 3-year-old and 4-month-old was just starting to go back to the gym.  I gave  her this to test and she loved it!  She kept commenting that every shower felt like a day at the spa - now what mom couldn't use that!  This kit is just $15.00 and includes their  phytobath gel,  phytobody lotion, 1-2 fl. oz. hydrating mist, bath salts and comes in a handy plastic travel tote. Only $15.00

iGels (DuWop) All us Moms seem to have perpetual bags under our eyes, well DuWop has figured out a way for us to soothe them without feeling like a human salad!  The iGels are cool when you put them on and smell wonderful.  Our tired Mom testers all love this product - they just wish they had more time to enjoy them!  The one thing they all thought was great is that you can reuse them up to 8 times!  There are 3 in a packet and cost $20.00.

To sleep full of sweet dreams (Not Soap, Radio) Most of us rarely get to take baths, but I found one mom who does and she tested this for me.  She loved the lavender scent and thoroughly enjoyed her relaxing bath!  At only $15.00 it's a nice treat for a weary mom! Another bonus, a portion of the sales of this product go to 365 Birthdays, a non-profit organization that serves at-risk children.

PediSox (Tweezerman) I love to get pedicures.  It's probably one of my only treats.  The one thing I hate is cold feet and I always get them while I'm waiting for my toes to dry.  Well Tweezerman came up with a great solution and they are only $6.50!  You slip them on before the polish is applied and they keep your feet toasty warm while you're waiting for the polish to dry!

Petal Potpourri - NarcissusPetal Potpourri (Aromafloria) No new mom's home should smell like dirty diapers!  These wonderful products not only make the home smell delicious, but also have some soothing aromatherapy properties!  If you tuck the little bag of aroma beads in your drawer your clothes will smell spectacular too! Available in a variety of different scents.  $18.50

Ooohlala's Think Pink Breast Cancer Candle is soy based, clean burning candle.  It has a fabulous smell that will rid the air of  nasty baby smells, and as a bonus $2.00 from each candle sold from their website goes to The Evelyn Lauder Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip BalmBurts Bee's Lip Balm (Burts Bee's)  A small all natural remedy for Mom's diaper bag or purse!  At just $1.99 you can't go wrong with this.  This is probably the best lip balm to soothe chapped lips.  They are an Earth Friendly company and their product is all natural.  Plus it won't break the bank!

Sculpey Keepsake Frame Keepsake Clay (Sculpey/Polyform) According to our tester this is a great gift idea for a new parent. The overall effect of the sculpture of babies hands or feet is excellent. If you have older children you'll want to hold off with having them participate it is a little bit tricky to get the clay into the frame. It does take a good thirty minutes to do well. It creates a great memento that can be enjoyed for years! The clays come in blue or pink, and also white.  The kit is only $14.99.

Baby Sherpa Diaper Backpack (BabySherpa)  This was given to a new Dad to review, but it's also great for practical active Moms.  When we gave this to our new father tester he was thrilled.  He had a backpack from his first child, but it had begun to fall apart.  He really didn't want to tote his wife's diaper bag when he went out so the timing was perfect!  His favorite features of the backpack were: that it was rugged, that it has a built in cooler, insulated pockets for the bottles a padded pocket to hold his digital camera and an extra big diaper pad!  Some of the other great features this backpack diaper bag includes are interior parent zip pouch for wallet and a key clasp sturdy zippers, cell phone section, reflective tape for safety, and a Bungee X cord for blankets. It's $89.00 but makes a great gift for a new parent!
