Umbrella Stroller (Dorel
Products) $27.99 Our grandmother tester was thrilled with this little
stroller. She said it was lightweight, easy to open and close and even easier to
put in her car. She liked the fact she didn't have to deal with a huge
cumbersome stroller that had too many "bells and whistles." A winner
in her book.
Tuscany
Stroller (Chicco) $79.99 If you
are looking for a rugged, yet light stroller that's designed to hold up, this is
the one for you. It weighs only 15 pounds and has tons of bells and
whistles. Our mom tester LOVED that this stroller reclined to 5 different
positions. Her old small stroller only reclined to one and that was barely
back far enough for her sleeping toddler. The folds compactly and easily
fit in her trunk. She loved the colors, canopy and roomy storage basket in
the back. She said it would be a great gift for her or her parents!
Aria
Stroller (Peg Perego) $179.99 If you are looking for a
lightweight stroller that's designed well and made to be handed down this is the
way to go! According to our tester, this stroller is lightweight and super
easy to fold -- and folds up small! She reported that the 5-point harness
was great for her very active son and that the fabric is really nice and
washable! The seat reclined nicely and the storage basket underneath is
roomy. Overall she thought this was a winner or a stroller!
Duo Glider (Graco)
$179.99 The Graco Duo Glider certainly serves its purpose well.
The Duo Glider features include an extremely easy one-button mechanism, which allows the parent/caregiver to unfold and re-fold the stroller for storage. The stroller’s seats are also extremely easy to operate, with a one-pull mechanism on both seats that allows a lower reclining position on the seat. Sometimes, it is slightly difficult to pull off the trays on each seat, especially when trying to put an older child in the rear seat.
The tray for the Graco Snug Ride car seat easily fits a younger child with little or no problem; however, sometimes it has been challenging pulling the car seat out of this position. It would also be convenient if a younger child in a car seat were able to sit in the rear stroller seat, as it would be more convenient to get to the child more quickly when immediate attention is necessary. Also, with the child in the front passenger seat, there is really no way to protect the child from outdoor elements (sun, rain, snow). The top portion of the stroller doesn’t go all the way over the car seat, which is unfortunate.
The Duo Glider features plenty of underneath basket space for diaper bags, coats and other child essentials, as well as great tray space for sippy cups and bottle. When steering the Duo Glider, it goes smoothly and doesn’t create any awkwardness. Overall, the Duo Glider’s weight is also not an issue as it is fairly easy to lift in and out of cars, although perhaps there is a way of having it fold down a little more compactly. It does take up a lot of trunk space. Another feature, which would be nice to include in future models, is a height adjustment on the stroller.
The Duo Glider’s material is also extremely neutral and tasteful and coordinates with most Graco Snug Ride Car Seats.
Overall, the Graco Duo Glider is a sturdy, dependable stroller for two that should be considered when looking for these types of products.
Quattro Tour
(Graco) $99.00 According to our
tester a mother of three this was a great stroller for her. She had
destroyed her old stroller and was dreading purchasing a new one, so when we
offered to have her test this one she was delighted. She liked the fact it
was easy to fold (a necessity with two other kids), she also liked
the lower, large basket. She felt it was easy to grip and push
around. All in all, she's very happy with this stroller!
