A
Day At The Fair Puzzle (Infantino)
Ages 3 -6, $12.95 According to the mother of our four year old tester,
"my daughter enjoyed this fun brightly colored puzzle. She did need some help to put it together, but kept wanting to go back and do it again."
Under
the Sea Puzzle (Mudpuppy
Press) Ages 4+, $13.00
Our 4-year-old tester needed a little help to put this together, but
according to her mother, "she loved the little sea creatures and was interested to learn the one that she had never
seen (Manatee)." The sea creatures fit together by sliding into slots. Most of them go together smoothly, but once they are handled,
they will fall apart. Pretty colors and art work. Sea facts a nice little twist to make it more educational.
Mudpuppy
Puzzle (Mudpuppy
Press) Ages 3+, $15.00
Our teacher reviewer said that this puzzle had "nice
big pieces that were sturdy and well made. She liked the bright colors
and felt it was great for beginning sounds/alphabet learning. "I
especially like that they used lowercase letters, which are the more
difficult for children to learn."
I
Spy My House (Infantino)
Ages 3 -6, $12.95
"This is wonderful!" exclaimed our teacher
reviewer. She liked the fact that this puzzle comes in a great storage
box with a handle for easy portability. She commented that the pieces were
nice and sturdy and easily fit back into the box afterwards. "Often the
big puzzles are hard for the children to get all the pieces back into the
box after they take the puzzle apart and are trying to put it
away." Lots of fun!!!!
Turn
and Learn Puzzles (Mudpuppy)
Ages 4+, $13.00
"I love the Turn and Learn puzzle cards," states our teacher
reviewer." They are made of thick, sturdy cardboard to hold up to lots of use. The puzzles promote spelling and letter recognition and are self-checking (good for playing together with an adult, or alone). The words used all begin with consonants (good for beginning sounds) and are realistic pictures of animals (kids always love anything to do with animals). I really like the packaging because the box has a little hole on the side like a drawer so it is easy for kids to open. (Sometimes games in a regular box get "stuck" and the lids can be tough to get off. This pulls right out and the box is sturdy so it will last.
The kids really enjoy playing with these puzzles and they would make a great
gift!
Shrek2
My Size Puzzle (Hasbro) Ages 3+,

kid doesn't love Shrek and Donkey? This great puzzle has 30 large and
sturdy pieces that allowed our 3-year-old tester to assemble the puzzle with
assistance from his PopPop. "Both had a good time and lots of
laughs putting together this large puzzle," reported his mom.
