Our 7-year-old tester just loved doing this puzzle. She and her friend did it together and they had fun doing putting it together and reading the states and capitols.  After they were done it was passed on to their school where we hear it's being used all the time.  It comes in a neat little storage tin so clean up is a breeze!

This puzzle was tested in a school environment by children aged 2 through 5.  The teachers just loved the solid wooden construction of the pieces and the easy assembly.  They also really liked the pictures of the animals from A to Z, the faces of children and the numbers 1 to 10.  The kids really liked the illustrations and had fun competing the puzzle.  Available at Target stores.

We just love these large format 2' x 3' puzzles.  The illustrations are beautiful and depict the sun, the asteroid belt, and the planets of our solar system. The puzzle has 24 solid and chunky pieces that are perfect for small hands.  Although our 3-year-old tester needed help he had a blast putting this puzzle together today with dad!

 

Monica Mouse Leaves Her House Puzzle (AStoryPieceByPiece)  Ages 5-6 +, $12.95
This is a cute 60 piece puzzle that the builder can read and solve as they finish the puzzle.  The first half holds the clues and the second half helps you solve it.  Figure out what Monica Mouse mouse doesn't need to wear.  It's a cute puzzle that kids will have fun making.

 

SpongeBob Foam-Fit Puzzle (Hasbro) Ages 5 and up, $5.99 
This fun poster-sized puzzle is fun to make and then display.  The flexible foam pieces are easy to put together, the puzzle stays together well.  Also available is Madagascar.
