Mother's
Day Books

Someday by Alison McGhee (Author), Peter H. Reynolds,
$12.95
How I love this book. First, be forewarned if you
are the slightest bit emotional you will feel like crying when you read
this. This is possibly the most perfect Mother's/ Grandmother's
day book out there. Never have I read anything that so simply sums
up what it means to be a mother. Peter Reynolds was the
author/illustrator for two of my favorite books including "The Dot" and
"Ish" and this collaboration is truly special. If you are looking
for one book to buy make this one it! It captures so simply the
love between a mother and child and reminds you to make every second
count -- because soon it will be a "someday."
A Special Day for Mommy
When my brother and I were little, we used to attempt to make
breakfast in bed for my mother. I don't quite remember if my Mom ate it,
but I'm sure she tried to! This book is very cute and reminds you how
much fun a child can have making that day special while making a
complete mess! My daughter is always pulling out my flowers like the
little pig in this book so she can present them to me to put in a vase.
It's a very sweet story that mothers and children will enjoy. It even
comes with a card at the back.
My Mother Is Mine
This cute little book about
mothers has beautiful illustrations and a nice rhyming pattern. Children will enjoy
looking at the pictures and hearing the story. Mother's will enjoy as it represents that special bond between a mother and a child.

Good
Grief, It's Mother's Day!
Everyone in the Peanuts gang tries to figure out ways to celebrate Mother's Day. Woodstock picks a flower, Peppermint Patty, Lucy and
Marcie shop for cards and Snoopy types a letter. Charlie Brown as usual is stumped. Fans of Charles Schultz's Peanuts will enjoy it.
I Love Mommy This sweet
little story tells how Mommy (a frog) always takes care of everything. Kids will enjoy the story with its colorful graphics and simple style. This book is from
Candlewick Press' new line called "Super Sturdy Picture Books" and that it is! It's well designed for toddlers with sturdy pages that allow reading again and
again without tearing. What Mommies Do Best
This book is one in a series of books there is What Daddies Do Best, What Aunts Do Best, and What Uncle's Do Best. This book reminds you that Mommies
are great at so many different things. They can make a beautiful garden, take you trick-or-treating, or tucking you. However, all moms are doing one thing best:
giving you "lots and lots of love."
Hooray for Mother's Day!
The Little Bill character created by Bill Cosby is a wonderful example for kids. He's kind, thoughtful and sweet and this book shows that. In this book,
Little Bill has hidden five surprises for his Mother. From a homemade picture frame to straightening up his room Little Bill proves that little things are what truly make us
Mom's happy.
Happy Mother's Day, Mami!
My son and I are such huge Dora fans that I had to mention this book. Dora is making a special cake for her
Mami, but first she must gather all the
ingredients. Your kids or grandchildren will have fun yelling out "Map", "Swiper No Swiping" or "Backpack" if they are Dora fans. I read
all the Dora books over and over again and this one was no exception.
Strength

a great section called "Anatomy of an Exercise" that shows the body,
all the muscle groups and the pages that you go to to work on those sections.
