Trick-or-Treaters

  • Go with a grown up and in a group

  • Carry a flashlight

  • Stay on sidewalks - do not walk in the middle of the road
  • Obey all traffic signals and signs
  • Stay in familiar neighborhoods
  • Do not go in the house
  • Don't cut across yards or driveways.
  • Approach only houses that are lit.
  • Make sure your costume fits, you're wearing comfortable shoes and you take off masks between houses.

Grandparents:

  • If you buy a costume for your grandchild, look for one made of flame-retardant material.
  • Remind your grandchildren to bring the candy home to be inspected before consuming anything.
  • If your grandchild lives with you make sure you look at the wrapping carefully and toss out anything that looks suspect.
  • Move pumpkins with lit candles away from where trick-or-treaters will be walking or standing.
  • Don't forget your cameras!
